Full House + Sunshine

Woo hoo. The weather was just perfect + we had 22 people, kids, adults, local + imported for the Wildlife Walk + Workshop. Dee Abbott, an Essex Wildlife Trust education officer led us on a thorough tour of Nevendon Bushes, which had us taking bark rubbings, looking under logs to see what lived there + identifying fungi. (Of course we put the logs back in place - don't want to leave anyone without a roof!) See the many pics! I can't remember the name of the fabulous fungi on the log...but Dee was able to identify it on the day along with many other wierd sounding leaves, bark + black puffy moulds.

I learnt quite a lot on this day, and found I had quite a lot of questions to ask Dee. I was delighted with workshop - I had never tried using inks before, they certainly add a creative flow. Particularly the workshop was a lovely event enjoyed by all.
