I only got a few pics - too busy filming. Here you can see the "judges' huddle" as they decide onn the winner for the final competition of the day: Which Dog Would The Judges Most Like To Take Home With The? And the winner, was the puppylicious George, who had bounced around us in the cutest fashion all afternoon. Danielle got to take home the signed "Pimp My Ride" pic + George got a red rosette.
PS. The judges here being, from left, the lovely Joan of The Runwell Dog Training Club, who - along with her team - freely gave advice to dog-owners all afternoon, Chris Lowthorpe (Arcadian Collective) and Richie Don of "Pimp My Ride" fame.
The Dog-Off!was a fantastic event. We had at over 40 people and at least 20 dogs taking part. 'Pimp My Pup' was won by Cassie, beautifully decked out in butterfly wings and bells. The Dog-Obstacle was very hilarius. Dog-owners had to do a the egg + spon, withh dog in tow, put their dog through a wooden hoop on the return leg of the race, without letting the day off the lead, then race back to the finish line. We had 11 entrants nad did it overthree heats, with the top dog from each heat taking a place in the final. Dav, from Romance romance was the subject for the next competition. Being terrified of dogs, he took a seatatthe farend of the imp[romptu arena, and asked each dog to approach him slowly and stop a few feetin front of him. he then decided whether or not he wanted the dog to come any nearer when he would atttempt some patting, depending how confident he felt. Each dog was scored for friendliness. Richie Don - impeccable man on the megaphone kept us all entertained - and devised some cmpetitins involving catching dog-chocs in eliminating rounds. Cassie rather cleaned up on the day, literally, winning in three categories. She generously deferred one prize to the runner-up dog. And the very friendly + energetic pup George stole the judges hearts to take the final prize of Pimp My Ride merchandise. I will be downloading some stills from the video footage soooooon, justas soon as ~I've freed up some memory space on my computer!! to illustrate this most colourful of events.
